The PTA is a volunteer organization that offers Mar Vista Elementary support in many areas.

What We Do:

1. Coordinate Room Parents who assist teachers with field trips, art projects, classroom parties and other special events.

2. Offer assistance in the areas of Child Welfare, Youth Activities and Traffic Safety.

3. Design and distribute the annual Yearbook and promote school spirit through Spiritwear and our Big Boo Halloween Fest.

4. Offer fundraising opportunities through our bi-annual Book Fairs, Bake Sales, and Box Top/Soup Labels collection.

5. Continually show our appreciation for our hardworking teachers and staff throughout the year with Fabulous Fridays.

6. At the end of the year we celebrate our families with our Family Night party.

7. Anyone can join the PTA including parents, grandparents, relatives, friends, and neighbors. We encourage our families to send in two or more memberships. Just return your membership donations to the school with your child.

8. Remember: your generous donation helps support our activities, locally and nationally, throughout the year.

9. As a member, you will receive a membership card, the 2008-2009 PTA directory, and access to various PTA sponsored clinics and educational events.
